Lots of our previous customers have asked me, "why do you have a particular affinity for Honda?". There are a few answers to that question, the main answer is simple; I just love them! That isn't super helpful, so I will elaborate.

Consumer Friendly Business Practices

In my experience, Honda and Acura (which are the same company if you didn't know) are the most consumer friendly auto manufacturer currently on the market. Honda's have a reputation for reliability, build quality, and what I would call "pro-human design". Honda is a company that builds good, affordable, regular cars for regular people. Their cars are easy to own, easy to maintain, and easy to drive.

Mechanic Friendly Construction

Many major auto manufacturers require a wide variety of Special Service Tools (SST's) to service their vehicles. Some are worse than others, generally European cars can be a nightmare for mechanics because of this. Honda has consistently designed their cars in a way that requires as little specialty tools as possible for service. Which is good news for everyone; often SST's can cost thousands of dollars for something that may only be used twice a year at even the most productive of auto shops. These costs are a cost of business, so everyone pays for it, owner, technician, customer.

Kaizen Manufacturing

Honda is a company with deep history. A lot of their philosophy comes from their start as a post WWII heavy industries manufacturer. Honda coined the Japanese term "Kaizen" to describe the flow of their manufacturing operations. Kaizen translates literally to English as "continuous improvement" and "goodness". In a Honda production plant, even the lowest level employee has the ability to raise concern about any part of the manufacturing process. This focus on continuous improvement has lead to an unbeatable reputation for quality, reliability, and ease of assembly. I could write a whole article about Kaizen manufacturing, so I will cut it there for now.

I could go on and on about my love for Honda. So I will cut it short for now on this article, but you can certainly expect to hear more from me in the future about our passion and our business.

Thank you for reading!
